It is with pleasure that Fox will donate ‘Alpilles Mountain Study I’ to support an online art auction that is raising money for the charity Help Refugees. The auction is being organised by Nicky Ginsberg from NG creative residencies. The money raised will be split between supporting the artists and charity. Phillli Boyle, the Director & Head of Partnerships Help Refugees is deeply supportive of our involvement and said:
The threat of COVID-19 breaking out in the overcrowded, unsanitary refugee camps where we work is huge and terrifying. With our partners on the frontlines, we are doing everything we can to prevent outbreaks whilst also preparing for the worst.
We are building clinics, funding teams of doctors, buying PPE, soap and sanitiser and funding emergency accommodation for the vulnerable and those self-isolating.
We are in awe of the human kindness that we are seeing in this time. People are seeking out ways to use their skills and energy to help. People choosing love rather than fear, choosing to support their fellow humans.
We could not be more grateful to Nicky Ginsberg and her amazing curatorial team Choose Art Give Light to Refugees – An online art auction in the Fight Against Covid-19’ and to all the artists who agree to contribute to this very vital cause. The online auction begins on the 1st June to 29th. The artwork donated is a large scale drawing based on the French Alpilles region. Over 150 artists will be participating so dig deep and get bidding!
